PADCOM Fresh Water Fire Protection Pond / Access Road

We got an interesting opportunity to work with Manitoba’s first potash mine, PADCOM.

We were asked to build them a fresh water fire protection pond for their mining facility and an access road around the pond. Ground water was an issue and caused us to alter planning on how deep we went into the ground.

We got started in September hauling clay from a location 1.5 in away, and ended up moving around 20,000 yds of clay and 8000 yds for the road. After we were finished we installed a suction line from the pond to the facility for use incase of a fire.
